Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development to work remotely in a full-time capacity, who will manage core product features, ensure team collaboration, and enhance the reliability of the Android app while actively participating in coding and code reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features from conception to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review code contributions, providing constructive feedback and facilitating team learning
• Identify and resolve blockers for team members to maintain workflow efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on team leadership and hands-on development
• Proficient in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience with shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and their application in software development
• Ability to drive process changes within the team and manage the associated challenges
