Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development to manage core product features and team dynamics in a fully remote, full-time role, where the individual will write and review code while ensuring efficient team collaboration and problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from decision to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to enhance team learning and performance
• Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline processes to improve release efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on team leadership and hands-on coding
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, MVVM, and Android development best practices
• Experience with background audio or long-running background tasks in Android applications
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and their implementation in software development
• Ability to drive team process changes and navigate the associated challenges effectively
