Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

To enhance the core Android product, the full-time Team Lead, Android Development will manage major feature ownership, maintain reliability metrics, and ensure efficient team collaboration in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features from inception to release while collaborating closely with the design team
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to foster team learning and improvement
• Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline processes to reduce manual intervention in releases

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on hands-on leadership
• Proficiency in Kotlin, including Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Jetpack Navigation
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Demonstrated ability to implement lasting changes within a team and navigate work process adjustments
• Strong product design intuition and user empathy to enhance Android UI/UX beyond specifications
