Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development to manage core product features, improve team processes, and enhance reliability metrics in a fully remote, full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Own major features from decision to release, collaborating closely with the design team
• Review code and provide constructive feedback while unblocking team members facing challenges
• Drive process improvements and ensure shared components are well-maintained and tested

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on team leadership and hands-on development
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background work
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the ability to advocate for process changes
• Demonstrated ability to build impactful features that are widely adopted by the team
