Team Lead, Android Development
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Team Lead for Android Development, this full-time remote position will manage core product features, oversee code reviews, and ensure team efficiency while actively contributing to coding and problem-solving.
Key responsibilities
- Own major features from decision-making through to release, collaborating closely with the design team
- Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback to enhance team learning and performance
- Unblock team members facing challenges and streamline processes to reduce manual intervention in releases
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on team leadership and hands-on development
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture patterns
- Experience in shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
- Demonstrated ability to implement lasting changes within a team environment
- Product design intuition and a passion for enhancing Android UI/UX beyond specifications
