Team Lead, Android Development

Job Summary

To drive the development of core product features, the full-time Team Lead, Android Development will manage major projects, write and review code, and enhance team collaboration in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver major features in collaboration with the design team, ensuring real delivery rather than just oversight
• Review pull requests, provide constructive feedback, and unblock team members facing challenges
• Maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features while facilitating effective planning and decision-making processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including team leadership and hands-on project ownership
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Dagger 2, and Android architecture components
• Experience with shipping and maintaining background audio or long-running background tasks
• Strong understanding of testing practices and the ability to advocate for necessary changes in team workflows
• Track record of delivering impactful features that align with team needs and user experience goals
