Tech Lead - Cryptographic Services

Job Summary

To lead the development of a hardware-rooted cryptographic asset lifecycle platform, the full-time Tech Lead - Cryptographic Services will manage the creation of a cryptographic asset registry, oversee signing flows, and implement self-service automation while working remotely or onsite in various locations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and govern a cryptographic asset registry, including key and certificate inventory and lifecycle tracking
• Own end-to-end signing flows, focusing on design, API and CLI surfaces, and customer experience
• Develop agent-assisted paths for customer self-service while ensuring necessary human oversight and measuring performance metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience building and operating production software with real availability expectations
• Strong hands-on engineering skills in Python, Java, Go, or similar, across the full stack of a cloud service
• Working knowledge of applied cryptography, including PKI, key management, and HSM-backed systems
• Practical experience applying AI and agentic workflows to engineering problems
