Technical Application Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the Commercial Team, the full-time Technical Application Engineer will lead technical initiatives for Grid Automation projects, coordinate customer interactions, and develop tailored solutions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers regarding the Grid Automation portfolio, focusing on Digital Control Systems and cybersecurity
- Analyze and resolve customer inquiries independently, applying engineering methodologies and adhering to business standards
- Lead technical proposals from solution architecture to compliance verification, ensuring competitive and requirement-compliant bids throughout the process
Required qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Energy Technology, Automation Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical certification
- Strong knowledge of network protection and substation control systems in transmission and distribution networks
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity and software environments, including DCS and SCADA systems
- Experience with network protocols, HMI systems, and relevant software packages
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, with willingness to travel nationally and internationally
