Technical Architect
Job Summary
Owning the end-to-end technical architecture, the full-time Technical Architect will drive scalability and reliability across a Rails product app and Python ML/CV services while collaborating with leadership on the technical roadmap in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the architecture of the Rails product app, Python ML/CV services, and data platform, balancing enterprise requirements with shipping speed
- Lead architectural reviews and mentor senior engineers on cross-system tradeoffs while ensuring high-quality code through reviews and design documentation
- Contribute to incident response and tackle complex technical challenges by actively writing code and participating in the development process
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in building production software, with at least 3 years in a senior or architectural role
- Deep expertise in large Rails or Python monoliths, computer vision pipelines, and LLM/agent systems in production
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and/or GCP), PostgreSQL, and background job systems
- Proven track record of making architectural decisions that support significant growth
- Recent experience writing and shipping production code within the last 6 months
