Job Summary
Recognized as a senior technical authority, the full-time remote Technical Director, Aviation will define and evolve the technical strategy for aviation modernization, lead complex systems integration, and engage with key stakeholders in the aviation sector to ensure successful program delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Define the Aviation Sector's technical strategy and assess emerging technologies for safety-critical aviation use
- Provide senior technical leadership across communications, navigation, surveillance, and air traffic management systems
- Lead technical oversight for multi-system integration and ensure engineering discipline across projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, aviation, meteorology, or a related technical discipline
- 25+ years of progressive experience in aviation systems, aerospace, or related fields
- 10+ years of senior technical or engineering leadership experience
- Deep technical experience in CNS/ATM, air traffic management, or aviation weather systems
- Experience working with FAA, ANSP, or major systems-integrator customers
