Job Summary
Leading the operations of the SANS Internet Storm Center, the full-time Technical Director, Cybersecurity will oversee daily activities, manage contributor engagement, and serve as a key resource for the global cybersecurity community in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the strategic development and operations of the Internet Storm Center, including infrastructure and data collection systems
- Produce technical analyses and content for ISC publications and host the Internet Storm Center Daily Podcast
- Coordinate research projects and manage contributions from volunteer handlers and interns
Required qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity research, threat intelligence, or security operations
- Experience mentoring student research and supervising technical professionals
- Strong technical background in applied security research and incident response
- Proven leadership in the cybersecurity community through research, publications, or presentations
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; visa sponsorship is not available
