Technical Documentation Writer
Job Summary
Combining deep engineering knowledge with strong technical writing skills, the contract Technical Documentation Writer in AI/ML will develop and refine public-facing technical documentation, consolidate contributions from engineers, and ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation while working remotely on a flexible schedule of approximately 20 hours per month.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and refine public-facing technical documentation supporting AI/model releases
- Consolidate technical contributions from multiple engineers into a clear, consistent narrative
- Sanity-check documentation for technical accuracy, clarity, completeness, and audience understanding
Required qualifications
- Deep technical/engineering expertise is essential
- Demonstrated experience creating public-facing technical documentation for complex engineering projects
- Strong understanding of AI/ML, software engineering, and engineering terminology
- Ability to collaborate directly with highly technical engineering teams
- Experience producing documentation in sophisticated engineering or open-source environments is highly desirable
