Job Summary
Evaluating certification applications and compliance documentation, the full-time remote Technical Evaluator - USDA Certified will ensure adherence to USDA National Organic Program standards while providing technical support and maintaining recordkeeping systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform reviews of applications, organic system plans, and supporting documentation for new and renewing clients
- Communicate findings and resolve compliance issues with clients while providing advanced technical support
- Conduct desk audits and maintain recordkeeping systems in accordance with internal procedures and accreditation requirements
Required qualifications:
- 2-4 years of certification or related regulatory experience
- Demonstrated understanding of organic certification standards and review processes
- Expertise in organic production or handling techniques relevant to USDA organic standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Point
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities effectively
