Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team, the full-time Technical Head of Engineering will manage the development of Atlassian's Agent Platform, blending people-management with technical leadership in applied ML, platform engineering, and AI experiences, while operating in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set technical and execution direction in collaboration with product, engineering, ML, data, and platform stakeholders
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, overseeing hiring, performance management, and career development
• Guide technical decisions across applied ML systems and ensure a balance of speed with quality and operational readiness

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical leadership and team management within engineering environments
• Strong background in machine learning, platform engineering, and AI systems
• Hands-on experience writing production code and guiding technical architecture
• Ability to create and maintain operational cadences, including planning and risk management
