Technical Lead
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of mission-critical federal software systems, the remote Technical Lead will manage enterprise application development, drive engineering efforts through the software development lifecycle, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring secure and scalable solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise software systems to meet federal mission needs
- Drive engineering efforts across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture through deployment
- Architect and develop APIs using REST and GraphQL while troubleshooting complex application and system performance issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 9+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including enterprise application development
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, OpenJDK, GraphQL, and REST APIs
- Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and scalable enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices
