Technical Lead, Data Platform Engineering
Job Summary
To provide end-to-end technical leadership for an enterprise Data Platform as a Service (DPaaS) environment built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the full-time Technical Lead, Data Platform Engineering will establish architecture standards, mentor engineering teams, and drive the development of AI-driven platform capabilities, with the option for hybrid or remote work for non-local candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the enterprise DPaaS architecture, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and governance
- Own platform capabilities throughout their lifecycle, implementing infrastructure as code and establishing CI/CD practices
- Architect and build a unified DPaaS control plane, enabling self-service capabilities for data resources
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or cloud engineering, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and modern cloud/data-platform architecture
- Advanced expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Proficiency in backend development using Python, Go, or Java, and modern front-end frameworks like TypeScript and React
