Technical Lead, Drupal

Job Summary

Leading the engineering team for a public data website, the full-time Technical Lead, Drupal will manage architecture decisions, ensure site reliability and security, and oversee the migration of data while working remotely across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the engineering for the agency's public data website built on Drupal and React, ensuring coding standards and architecture decisions are met
• Maintain site reliability with a target of 99.5% uptime, overseeing release management, incident response, and security documentation
• Research and implement new hosting and content delivery options, facilitating the migration to new platforms without compromising the site's Authority to Operate

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of Drupal development experience, including 3+ years on managed Drupal hosting and building custom modules
• 6+ years of web development experience, with 3+ years in React and connecting React front ends to Drupal
• Experience with federal government software development and knowledge of the CMS ATO process
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and cloud hosting, including migration planning
• Proven experience leading testing practices, ensuring compliance with Section 508 requirements
