Job Summary
Leading technical initiatives within the Grid Modernization practice, the full-time Technical Lead, Grid Modernization will provide oversight for utility and renewable energy projects, develop control system architectures, and ensure project quality while working remotely across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development of control philosophies, functional requirements, and system architectures for energy management systems
- Coordinate integration strategies between generation facilities and microgrid controllers, ensuring system interoperability
- Serve as a technical advisor to clients, facilitating discussions on design decisions and supporting proposal development
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in utility, power generation, or critical infrastructure control systems
- Demonstrated technical leadership on complex multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Strong expertise in EMS, ADMS, DERMS, SCADA, DCS, PLC/RTU systems, or Microgrid Control Systems
- Experience with testing, commissioning, and operational acceptance of control systems
