Technical Product Owner

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Product Owner will translate business and compliance requirements into features, manage the product backlog, and collaborate with engineers to ensure successful delivery of payment solutions during EST hours.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and compliance requirements into well-defined features and testable acceptance criteria for payment flows
• Maintain backlog ordering and transparency, making timely scope and priority decisions to facilitate delivery
• Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and support production issue triage for payment incidents

Required qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Product Owner on a software delivery team using Agile/SAFe methodologies
• Ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria and break down features into manageable stories
• Technical understanding of APIs, data flows, and system integrations to facilitate informed trade-offs
• Experience managing a backlog for a service with real production usage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to bridge engineering and business stakeholders
