Technical Product Owner

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Product Owner for Payments will manage backlog clarity, acceptance criteria, and delivery decisions for digital payment services, collaborating closely with engineers and architects to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and compliance requirements into well-defined features, stories, and testable acceptance criteria for payment flows
• Maintain backlog ordering and transparency, making timely scope and priority decisions to facilitate delivery
• Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and coordinate functional/integration testing across various tender types

Required qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Product Owner or Product Owner in a software delivery team using Agile/SAFe methodologies
• Ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria and break down features into manageable stories
• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and system integrations sufficient to engage with engineering teams
• Experience managing a backlog for a service with real production usage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to bridge engineering and business/compliance stakeholders
