Technical Product Owner

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Product Owner will manage backlog clarity, acceptance criteria, and delivery decisions for the Payments team, focusing on translating business requirements into actionable features and ensuring timely delivery of payment services.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and compliance requirements into well-defined features and testable acceptance criteria for payment flows
• Maintain backlog ordering and transparency, making timely scope and priority calls to facilitate delivery
• Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and coordinate functional/integration testing across tender types

Required qualifications

• Experience as a Technical Product Owner on a software delivery team, specifically in Agile/SAFe environments
• Proven ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria and break down features into manageable stories
• Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and system integrations sufficient to engage with engineering teams
• Experience managing a backlog for a service with real production usage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for translating between engineering and business stakeholders
