Technical Product Owner
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Product Owner for Payments will manage backlog clarity, acceptance criteria, and delivery decisions for digital payment services while collaborating closely with engineers and architects.
Key responsibilities
- Translate business and compliance requirements into well-defined features, stories, and testable acceptance criteria for payment flows
- Maintain backlog ordering and transparency, making timely scope and priority calls to ensure consistent delivery
- Validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and support production issue triage for payment incidents
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Technical Product Owner on a software delivery team using Agile/SAFe methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, testable acceptance criteria and break down features into manageable stories
- Comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and system integrations with technical depth
- Experience owning a backlog for a service with real production usage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate between engineering and business stakeholders
