Job Summary
Supporting the administration of underwriting structures, the full-time Technical Surety Underwriting Manager will underwrite and monitor accounts, develop marketing plans, and perform risk analysis in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze, evaluate, accept, decline, rate, quote, and bind new or renewal submissions with high premium or risk exposure
- Build strong relationships between agents, reinsurers, and contacts
- Review complex submissions, account losses, pricing models, and profitable premiums
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, finance, risk management, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 7+ years of related experience
- Thorough understanding of internal processes of the product and loss rating/credibility
- Demonstrated initiative and work ethic in the underwriting process
- Ability to build and maintain a profitable book of business
