Technical Writer
Job Summary
Supporting a cloud technology organization, the Technical Writer will create and manage technical content, improve internal knowledge resources, and assist communication efforts across cloud operations and platform engineering teams in a fully remote contract role aligned to EST or CST working hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and operational procedures for cloud-based platforms
- Partner with engineering and operational teams to translate complex technical information into user-friendly materials
- Manage documentation updates and support activities within Jira, Confluence, and GitHub to ensure accuracy and consistency
Required qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, documentation management, or knowledge management
- Working knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch
- Experience utilizing Confluence and Jira for documentation and workflow tracking
- Familiarity with GitHub, Markdown, and version control concepts
- Experience supporting cloud operations or platform engineering teams preferred
