Technical Writer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Technical Writer will support the AFPIMS migration to AWS by developing and maintaining technical and operational documentation throughout the migration lifecycle, ensuring compliance with documentation standards and facilitating communication among engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the AFPIMS AWS Cloud Migration Plan and associated documentation
- Create detailed runbooks for migration and operational procedures, ensuring clarity and adherence to standards
- Coordinate with various engineering teams to capture technical inputs and validate documentation for migration and operations
Required Qualifications:
- Experience developing technical documentation for IT infrastructure, cloud, application, or system migration projects
- Proficiency in creating technical plans, SOPs, runbooks, and training materials
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, repeatable procedures
- Strong experience with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
- Familiarity with document configuration management, version control, and formal review processes
