Job Summary
Owning the technical documentation and customer-facing messaging processes, the long-term contract Technical Writer & Customer Support Engineer will work remotely to support cloud platform engineering initiatives, providing first-line technical support and coordinating between platform engineers and customers using AWS-based cloud offerings.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including how-to guides, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles in Confluence
- Provide first-line technical support through Webex and Jira, managing issue triage and customer communications
- Coordinate with engineering teams on release notes and customer-facing communications while ensuring documentation processes meet established SLAs
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in technical writing or technical customer support
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to translate complex engineering concepts for diverse audiences
- Working knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, and S3
- Hands-on experience with Confluence, Jira, and GitHub
- Experience supporting cloud platforms or enterprise technology environments is highly preferred
