Job Summary
Supporting a NATO SATCOM modernization program, the full-time Technical Writer with Security Clearance will develop, edit, and manage a variety of technical documentation remotely, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the system lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical manuals, operation manuals, and training materials
- Create and manage Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) using Markdown-based tools
- Collaborate with engineering teams to produce compliance documentation and requirements traceability matrices
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent military/defense experience
- Minimum of 8 years of professional technical writing experience
- Experience in defense, aerospace, SATCOM, or government programs
- Demonstrated ability to produce complex technical documentation
- Experience managing document repositories and version-controlled documentation environments
