TechOps Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the TechOps Engineer will oversee system uptime and integrity for customer systems, manage installations and upgrades, and document technical designs while providing overnight support from 1 AM to 9 AM EST.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure system uptime and integrity by building and architecting robust systems
- Document technical designs and create training materials for operational processes
- Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Expertise in system administration for Debian-based distributions
- Experience with multiple hosting environments, including cloud and bare metal
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash
- Strong experience with Linux, Proxmox, and IT security protocols
