Job Summary
To facilitate patient access services, the full-time Telecom Patient Access Specialist will manage incoming calls, assist clinic customers at the first point of contact, and streamline clinic-wide communications while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls and route them to the appropriate department with efficiency and accuracy
- Perform TeleNurse Intake duties, including identifying patients and verifying information in the EHR system
- Maintain open communication during emergencies and provide 24-hour answering service for clinic providers and administration
Required qualifications
- High School graduate or GED required
- Minimum of one year of medical office and/or phone experience preferred
- Proficient typing skills and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to work under pressure with accuracy
- Must reside within a 40-mile radius of Springfield, IL
