Telecommunications Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Leading complex multi-building projects, the contract Telecommunications Systems Engineer will work remotely to produce comprehensive design packages, interface with clients, and utilize AutoCAD, SmartPlant, and Revit MEP for 3D BIM modeling.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the telecom scope for large projects, producing design packages with multidisciplinary teams
- Interface with clients to assess needs and deliver tailored telecommunications engineering solutions
- Create 3D BIM models, construction specifications, and 2D drawing sets while ensuring compliance with relevant standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree acceptable
- Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications design and construction experience
- Strong background in structured cabling, specification editing, and design team leadership
- Knowledge of TIA standards, BICSI practices, and NEC guidelines; proficiency in Bluebeam and Navisworks preferred
- RCDD or PE certification is a plus
