Job Summary
A medical device company is in need of a Telecommute Medical Device Billing Collections Specialist.
Must be able to:
- Process and facilitate pre-certification and data input processes for claims
- Contact insurance carriers to verify coverage of certain items
- Review third-party payments to determine the correct level of reimbursement
Position Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent or
- 2+ years applicable experience
- Proficient in reimbursement principles, medical terminology, payer groups, and networks
- Computer proficient to include web browser/internet search, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to learn new software and systems
- Ability to serve as an advocate for reimbursement by third-party payers
