Telecommute Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

A healthcare company is filling a position for a Telecommute Medical Records Specialist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Handle the storage and retention of patient medical records
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to requests in a timely manner
• Respond to all inbound requests for medical records, while maintaining an accurate medical record tracking log

Qualifications for this position include:

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least three to five years experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center or related
• Prior release of Information in the Medical Record field is required
• Have working knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Must be able to demonstrate computer experience in Excel, Word, Medical Billing Software and Applications
