Temporary Contest Entry Assistant
Job Summary
Assisting with the preparation of journalism contest entries, the part-time Temporary Contest Entry Assistant will work remotely to re-create published articles, photos, and graphics into individual PDFs according to contest rules, with hours ranging from five to 20 per week from late October until March.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the awards coordinator to prepare contest entries by converting articles and visuals into PDFs
- Adhere to contest guidelines and deadlines, particularly during peak periods in January and February
- Utilize InDesign to design and format materials for submission
Required qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate
- Strong working knowledge of InDesign
- Experience in print design preferred
- Ability to work independently within a structured workflow
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently
