Job Summary

Bringing exceptional storytelling to life, the part-time Temporary Editor will refine manuscripts, ensure editorial excellence, and maintain the trusted voice of Runner's World while working remotely for 20 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the distinctive Runner's World voice and editorial standards throughout assigned manuscripts
• Implement developmental and line edits to enhance clarity, structure, and reader engagement
• Collaborate with editors and stakeholders to deliver polished content that aligns with editorial goals

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of editorial experience in book publishing, magazines, or digital media
• Experience with developmental editing and line editing on long-form content
• Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple deadlines
• Creative thinker with innovative ideas while maintaining an established editorial voice
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
