Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Temporary Editor, the successful candidate will edit and revise articles for the Wirecutter discovery team, collaborating with writers and cross-team partners while working remotely for 15-20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities:
- Edit and revise multiple articles, managing deadlines and processes while ensuring editorial standards are met
- Collaborate with fact checkers, copy editors, and producers to prepare content for publication
- Coordinate with photo editors on photography plans and perform related tasks as assigned
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a media company, including at least one year of editing and working with writers
- Experience in editing timely, short-form content and collaborating with visual content creators
- Strong understanding of journalistic independence and commitment to truth-seeking
