Temporary Payroll Manager

Job Summary

To support payroll operations for over 500 employees, the Temporary Payroll Manager will manage end-to-end payroll processing in UKG, oversee payroll tax registrations and reconciliations, and assist with the implementation of a new payroll system, Rippling, from October 26, 2026 through January 31, 2027 in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Run the full payroll cycle for 500+ employees, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance in UKG
• Own state and local payroll tax registrations and reconcile payroll tax filings and payments
• Assist with the transition to Rippling, including data migration and testing payroll results

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of progressive payroll experience with end-to-end processing for 500+ employees
• Hands-on experience using UKG (UKG Pro) for payroll management
• Multi-state payroll experience, including tax registration and reconciliation
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, including final-pay rules
• Advanced Excel skills for audits and reconciliations
