Job Summary
Producing content remotely for stations nationwide, the full-time Temporary Senior Producer will develop and organize local content for 24/7 station streams while collaborating with local news leadership and implementing workflow improvements over a temporary period of approximately two months.
Key responsibilities
- Champion current and new technologies, providing training in assigned markets
- Develop, organize, and write local content for station streams across various media markets
- Oversee newscast and editorial decisions, exercising creativity in content production
Required qualifications
- BS/BA in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
- Generally 6+ years of experience as a television news producer preferred
- Experience with editing software in a newsroom environment
- Avid news consumer with knowledge of local news in Scripps markets
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to make independent decisions
