Job Summary
To support the Department of Human Services, the full-time DHS Program Specialist will evaluate human services program delivery, provide training and guidance to staff, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Identifies training needs and develops specialized training for staff and community organizations
- Reviews casework and provides guidance, monitoring performance and offering feedback
- Evaluates program effectiveness and suggests improvements to enhance service delivery
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant professional experience in social services or a related field
- Graduate coursework may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis, up to two years
- Experience equivalent to three years in human services work as a state employee or contractor
- Completion of a criminal history disclosure form and fingerprinting may be required
- Ability to analyze data and evaluate program effectiveness
