Job Summary
To support clinical documentation efforts, the part-time Tennessee Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will independently capture discharge diagnoses and procedures, perform concurrent reviews of patient records, and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient records for accuracy, legibility, and completeness while ensuring documentation of discharge diagnoses and procedures
- Communicate with providers regarding any missing, unclear, or conflicting clinical documentation and resolve queries prior to patient discharge
- Monitor provider documentation queries for timely responses and escalate issues as necessary
Required qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in Tennessee
- Preferred certifications include CCDS or CDIP
- Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience
