Tennessee Licensed Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Physician Services Revenue Integrity team, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Medical Billing Specialist will manage the billing cycle for assigned clients, resolve claim denials, and ensure compliance with regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Revenue Cycle Services and resolve billing issues and denials requiring clinical expertise
• Research and resolve claim denials and rejections while assuming ownership of all aspects of the billing cycle
• Collaborate with departments to ensure billing accuracy and deliver timely reports on payer denial trends and collections accounts

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• 1-2 years of medical accounts receivable experience, with Athena experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding
• Proficiency in medical billing software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to interpret medical records and documentation related to medical claims
