Tennessee Licensed School Navigator

Job Summary

Serving as a vital liaison among schools, families, and the organization, the full-time Tennessee Licensed School Navigator will facilitate access to behavioral health services for students, support the intake and insurance processes, and promote service continuity while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Accept and respond to student referrals from assigned schools within three business days, initiating family contact and documentation
• Assist families with Medicaid eligibility screening and application, and verify private insurance benefits
• Schedule intake appointments with school-based therapists or refer to appropriate access points for eligible students

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Understanding of mental health systems and school-based service models
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic records management
• Current driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Successful completion of background checks including criminal record and fingerprint checks
