Job Summary
Leading the design and safety classification of advanced instrumentation and control systems for next-generation reactors, the remote contract Tennessee Licensed Senior Engineer will manage the full design lifecycle, including front-end engineering design and detailed execution, ensuring optimal plant reliability and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design safety-related and non-safety balance of plant I&C architectures, including closed-loop algorithms and simulation modeling
- Develop static diagrams, functional blocks, schematics, and dynamic physics-based simulation models using modern digital tools
- Manage procurement packages, review test plans, and oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on the GE Vernova Mark VIe DCS platform
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field
- At least 10 years of experience in heavy industrial control systems design and safety-significant I&C
- Strong expertise in IEEE or IEC nuclear standards
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with mid-to-top-tier DCS or PLC platforms
- Master's degree, Professional Engineer (PE) license, and direct US NRC/international nuclear licensing experience are highly preferred
