Test Automation Engineer
Job Summary
To support the modernization of IRS legacy tax processing systems, the fully remote Test Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement comprehensive test automation strategies while mentoring junior team members and ensuring robust test coverage.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, executing automated test suites
- Lead the planning and execution of automation scripts for continuous testing of regression suites
- Drive continuous improvement in the testing process by monitoring, reporting, and analyzing defects
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in progress and 2+ years of overall experience
- Active IRS MBI Clearance and current GFE required
- Demonstrable experience with test management and quality engineering strategy
- Experience with various forms of testing including Functional, Manual, Regression, Automation, 508, and API testing
- Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence, SQL, Git, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
