Job Summary
Building automated tests for API validation, the full-time Test Automation Engineer will ensure that migrated APIs function correctly and meet production readiness standards while working in a hybrid environment in the Washington, DC Metro Area.
Key responsibilities
- Write automated tests for REST and SOAP APIs, ensuring coverage of status codes, headers, payloads, and authentication
- Develop functional equivalency tests to compare API versions and identify discrepancies
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to validate API changes before release
Required qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in software testing, QA automation, or API development
- Proficiency in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or REST Assured
- Experience with scripting or programming in Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Basic understanding of HTTP, JSON, XML, and API authentication
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
