Test & Evaluation Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of autonomous systems, the fully remote Test & Evaluation Engineer will design and implement system models, capture software-intensive systems, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate requirements tracing and architecture mapping.
Key responsibilities
- Design and manage the system model that serves as the technical ground truth for the company
- Capture and model software services, APIs, data flows, and hardware interfaces
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand and document software design and architecture
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience with software-intensive or networked systems, including 3+ years of hands-on model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
- Expertise in modeling using SysML (preferably v2) or a comparable language
- Strong understanding of software design, microservices, APIs, and CI/CD processes
- Experience defining hardware/software interfaces and requirements engineering
- Familiarity with government reference architectures and experience in defense programs
