Texas Licensed Accountant

Job Summary

Providing end-to-end ownership of accounting operations, the full-time Texas Licensed Accountant will manage payment processing, settlements, tax compliance, and financial reconciliations remotely while ensuring robust financial controls and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and operational activities for Merchant of Record transactions across supported brands
• Perform reconciliations between payment platforms, banking activity, and the general ledger while resolving discrepancies
• Ensure accurate sales tax collection and compliance across applicable jurisdictions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Three to seven years of experience in payments operations, merchant services, or accounting within e-commerce or technology-enabled services
• Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, and financial controls
• Hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with SQL and reporting tools
