Texas Licensed Accounting Manager

Job Summary

To support the statutory team, the full-time Texas Licensed Accounting Manager will ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information in compliance with statutory accounting principles while leading the preparation of a comprehensive statutory analytics package, collaborating with various finance teams, and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of the quarterly and annual statutory analytics package for the Company's insurance subsidiaries
• Collaborate with the statutory accounting team to prepare and review key financial statement disclosures
• Manage efforts to strengthen the control environment and implement process improvements, focusing on technology enhancements and automated solutions

Required qualifications

• Qualified CPA or CPA candidate preferred with a minimum of 7+ years of experience in the life insurance or annuity business
• Proficient with general ledger software and advanced Excel skills
• Experience in a dynamic, transformational environment with a focus on process improvement
• Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen, along with project management skills
• Ability to flex leadership style and effectively influence senior leaders
