Job Summary
To support efficient charge capture processes, the full-time Texas Licensed Clinical Reimbursement Specialist will review clinical documentation, manage charge discrepancies, and ensure timely billing in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review clinical documentation in EPIC applications to ensure accurate charge capture
- Manage and reconcile patient accounts with charge discrepancies, collaborating with Patient Financial Services
- Generate reports on charge capture errors and provide training to departmental employees
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree from a Registered Health Information Technician accredited program or in a health care related field preferred
- Five years of experience in a hospital or medical office, including three years in charge capture, review, billing, or coding
- Certification as a Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Registered Health Information Management Technician (RHIT) preferred
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software applications
