Job Summary

Negotiating and processing payments for past due accounts, the part-time Texas Licensed Collections Agent will work remotely to contact customers, assess their financial conditions, and implement solutions for delinquent balances while adhering to established guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate payment arrangements and process payments for delinquent accounts through direct customer contact
• Conduct thorough inquiries to assess consumers' financial conditions and determine reasons for delinquency
• Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Required qualifications

• Prior collections or debt settlement work history is mandatory
• High school diploma required; some college preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Strong negotiation skills and a competitive, persuasive demeanor
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document information accurately in the system
