Job Summary
To support a growing underwriting team, the full-time Texas Licensed Commercial Underwriter will evaluate middle market accounts for risk selection and pricing, collaborate with agents, and maintain documentation while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate basic middle market accounts for risk selection and pricing under supervision
- Consult with experienced underwriters to learn best practices and support the underwriting team
- Communicate with agents to provide updates and enhance customer experiences
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in insurance, business administration, or equivalent experience
- Preferred insurance designations such as AINS, AU, CIC, or CPCU
- Knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverage options
- Ability to analyze financial data and make sound underwriting decisions
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
